FBC's kids' ministries are the bedrock of what we do. We believe that training children to love, learn and live for the Lord Jesus Christ is a high calling and one of the greatest needs in churches.

Kids love our Children's Ministry. Our teachers are committed disciples themselves and are well-trained to foster an environment that is fun and enriching. Relationships between students, teachers and helpers are grown every Sunday and the result is a ministry that kids can't wait to come back to again and again.

Ultimately, our goal is to produce adult disciples of Christ by providing instruction to kids in Bible knowledge, Biblical character and even doctrine. We do this through 2 key ministries: Sunday School and Children's Church, in addition to special summer programs, camps and sports ministries.

If you would like more information about any of our Children's Ministries, you can contact the leaders or the church directly on our Contact Page.

Our Ministries for Children

Nursery - "More than Babysitting"

Leader: Tammy Taylor

FBC provides Nursery for children up to four years of age. The Nursery is open on Sundays to support both worship service and the Sunday School period.  We warmly welcome all visitors!

During Sunday School:  All the children are together, playing with each other and the nursery volunteers.

During the Worship Service:  We start out with music, so all the children will get to sing and learn the songs of the month. The children are then split into age-appropriate groups for snacks.  We recommend packing an age appropriate snack in your child's diaper bag for those who cannot yet eat whole, solid foods (please let the volunteers know if your child has snack in their bag).  2-3 year-old children will be provided a snack through the Children's Church snack program. After snacks, the 2 and 3-year-olds have a Bible lesson that is centered around a monthly memory verse.

It is our goal to operate our nursery as a ministry of service to the Lord by serving parents and families by introducing their young child to church and to the Bible.

Children's Church - 10:00AM Service

Leaders: Cheryl Van Winkle & Rebekah Leonard

Our Children’s church gathers after the congregational music service. This program is offered to ages 4- 4th grade. Our morning is broken into three group focuses:

  1. Community - We gather to talk about our week, share prayer requests, focus on a family in our congregation and pray.
  2. Story - The Bible story is the foundation of all we do. We believe that scripture is powerful and has multifaceted applications that touch us through every season of life. So our focus is on a rich story telling and allowing the word to move deeply into hearts.
  3. Reflection time - We give our kids time to think on the meaning of the morning as they work on crafts or play games that build on story themes.

Wednesday Night Service @ 6:30PM

Learning to fish...not just being fed fish.

It is so exciting to have our Wednesday night class back. We will be holding class for ages 4 - 4th grade.  Once again we will be using answers in Genesis Curriculum. These lessons work to train children to think biblically. AIG has a goalto teach children how to dig for the truth of scripture independently. Instead of teaching them what to think, we want to teach them how to dig for answers in the most important book in their lives.

Wednesday night is also a community night. Filled with important/fun events. Things like potlucks, missionaries and other important interruptions to class help build a child who is integrated into the body of Christ.
